Ingredients

for 1 serving

  • 1 large banana
  • ½ cup uncooked old-fashioned rolled oats
  • ¼ cup whole milk
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon pure maple syrup
  • ¼ teaspoon baking powder
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla bean paste
  • kosher salt, to taste
  • cooking spray
  • 3 individually wrapped chewy caramel candies

Preparation

  1. Place the banana, oats, milk, cocoa, maple syrup, baking powder, vanilla bean paste, and salt to taste in a blender. Process until the batter is completely smooth and thick with no visible oat flecks, 2–3 minutes, stopping to scrape down the sides as needed. Set aside.
  2. Lightly grease an 8-ounce oven-safe ramekin with cooking spray. Pour in half the batter, then place the caramels in the center. Top with the remaining batter so the caramels are fully covered and surrounded by batter.
  3. Place the ramekin in an air fryer, and cook at 325°F for 13–16 minutes, until the top looks dry, matte, and slightly puffed.
  4. Let cool for 3–5 minutes. Serve warm.
  5. Enjoy!
